Naya
/NUH-yuh/
A standpoint, or partial angle on the truth.
Jain philosophers catalogued the different 'nayas', the ways of looking at something (as a whole, in its parts, in this moment, in ordinary language, and so on). Recognising which naya a claim comes from is how anekantavada works in practice.
